Last Turtle Talk

There has been a lot of baby turtle activity on the beach the past few weeks. 42 of the 52 nests have hatched already. The nests have been hatching “early” and fast---due to the high temperatures we’ve been experiencing. We expect that the season will be over by mid-September this year.

Adopters of nests that are currently on the beach have been asked to be on "alert" due to the possibility of Tropical Depression Hermine hitting our beach.

The last Turtle Talk of the year will be tonight! We'll be high and dry in Town Hall if you want to join us! These photos were taken at Turtle Talks earlier this year.
