26 Nests and Counting

There are now 26 Loggerhead turtle nests on Holden Beach with 3137 known eggs and 30 false crawls. We're still in the prime nesting season so more nests are expected! Please remember to remove all beach equipment at the end of the day and fill in all holes so the mother turtles don't get tangled up, stuck in a hole or injured. Just an interesting aside: Last year at this time we had 22 nests. This year we have 26. This could be a 60 nest year.
