First Florida Loggerheads!posted: April 23, 2013, 9:19 PM Matthew Godfrey, the coordinator for the Sea Turtle program here in North Carolina reported yesterday that loggerhead nesting in Florida for the 2013 season has begun with several new clutches laid in Melbourne Beach and Juno Beach. As yet, there haven't been any observed nests in Georgia or South Carolina, but probably it won't be long now, and NC should start receiving some sea turtle nests soon after. |
