Nesting Continues!

A team of volunteers was called out on August 4th for nest 46 for this year. The mother turtle came in on high tide and left on low tide—leaving an interesting crawl pattern in the sand. She spent some time crawling up the dune. The eggs were high and dry, but surrounded by many plants, so this nest of 93 eggs was moved. Could this the last nest of the year? We hope the laying season continues for a few more weeks and hatching should continue into October.
