NEW this year! CHILDREN'S Turtle TIME!

It’s called The first “Children’s Turtle Time” and will be held this Wednesday July 11 at 4 p.m. at the Holden Beach Town Hall. This program is for younger turtle enthusiasts.

This program will feature age appropriate crafts, stories and activities for children ages 3 to 6 years old. The children will be divided into two groups: ages 3 & 4 and 5 & 6. Each group will learn about the sea turtles that nest on Holden Beach. The younger group will make a turtle craft and the older group will be searching for turtle eggs in the sand.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This program is free of charge. For more information contact the Holden Beach Parks and Recreation Department at (910) 842-6488. Children’s Turtle Time will also be held Wednesdays July 18, 25 and August 1.
