We have been working since April getting everything ready for the turtles and they are now here. Our first mother, a Loggerhead came in on May 20th. The number of eggs is unknown since the nest did not need to be moved so we will be expecting babies anytime from July 16th on. We also had our first stranding on the 21st of a Leatherback weighing about 700 pounds. We hope to have a good year with lots of nests and no named storms and lots of vacationers but only time will tell. We hope to see you all on the beach or at Turtle Talk some time this year and we want to thank your support by buying our T-Shirts, letting us use your walkways and helping watch nests on the beach.
